I almost didn’t want to sell this set! These stunning Peruvian Opals make me feel like a sunny day at the beach! The beautiful play of colors is so dreamy!
Peruvian blue opal is a sedimentary rock with a lot of silica that forms when igneous rocks form.It consists of hydrogen, oxygen, and silicon and is created at low temperatures.
A Peruvian blue opal’s interior crystalline composition is highly unpredictable. It does not have the regular opal’s fire or color play. However, when viewed in the optimal light, this stone takes on an iridescent aspect. This one-of-a-kind stone, called Peruvian Blue Opal, can only be found in the Andes Mountains, in the San Patricio area. This stone is translucent, like the waters of the Caribbean.
